Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of ThreatScoreAI™, a vulnerability risk scoring API service operated by Sarrenite ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the service.

2. Description of Service

ThreatScoreAI™ provides an API service that calculates unified risk scores for software vulnerabilities by combining data from CVSS, EPSS, CISA KEV, and MITRE ATT&CK. The service is provided on a subscription basis with various plan tiers.

3. Account Registration

To use our service, you must:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials and API keys
  • Promptly notify us of any unauthorised access to your account
  • Be at least 18 years of age or have legal authority to enter into contracts

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Subscription and Payment

Our service is offered through various subscription plans. By subscribing, you agree to:

  • Pay all fees associated with your selected plan
  • Automatic renewal unless cancelled before the renewal date
  • Provide valid payment information through our payment processor (Stripe)

Prices are displayed in British Pounds (GBP) and are exclusive of VAT where applicable. We reserve the right to change prices with 30 days' notice.

5. API Usage

When using our API, you agree to:

  • Comply with the rate limits specified for your subscription plan
  • Keep your API keys confidential and not share them with third parties
  • Not attempt to circumvent rate limits or security measures
  • Not use the service for any unlawful purpose
  • Not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code

6. Acceptable Use

You may not use our service to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe upon intellectual property rights
  • Transmit malware, viruses, or malicious code
  • Interfere with the operation of the service
  • Resell or redistribute the service without authorisation
  • Use automated means to access the service beyond normal API usage

7. Intellectual Property

ThreatScoreAI™, including its scoring algorithms, documentation, and branding, is the intellectual property of Sarrenite. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service for your internal business purposes during your subscription period. This licence does not grant you any rights to our intellectual property beyond what is necessary to use the service.

8. Data and Privacy

Your use of the service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. You retain ownership of any vulnerability data you submit through the API. We process this data solely to provide the scoring service and do not use it for any other purpose without your consent.

9. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform scheduled maintenance with reasonable notice. We are not liable for any downtime or service interruptions beyond our reasonable control.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED. THE THREAT SCORES PROVIDED ARE FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES AND SHOULD NOT BE THE SOLE BASIS FOR SECURITY DECISIONS. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN SECURITY ASSESSMENTS AND REMEDIATION PRIORITIES.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SARRENITE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE FEES PAID BY YOU IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sarrenite and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the service at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.

14. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
